I am trying to create a character based on Buccaneer Bruce to take over my Buccaneers villain group when Spirit is redeemed. I was excited when I saw the ninja robe because I thought (along with the sleeves) it would make a great Buccaneer costume. But now I'm starting to think that without an actual swashbuckler hat, I won't be able to pull it off. I tried using the existing pirate hats, and they really don't convey the look I want. So I tried the wide brimmed hat that came with the magic pack, and the bandanna (which is what Spirit wears). What do you guys think? Does anyone have any suggestions? Sat, Nov. 14th, 2009, 04:08 pm

I figured most people ran XP or a 64 bit OS. Is there any room for another OS in the bloated and cash strapped market? is it just for little netbooks? As an aside to this, if I wanted to dual boot a linux OS to run CoH if possible, which one is best? I am itching to try something new on my modded acer, which is slowed quite a bit by vista. edit: this blog answered some questions. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/0 Sat, Nov. 14th, 2009, 12:27 am

The short of it is that I plan to run a Master of the Recruits in Scout armor as a Captain (100 points) with some changes. I'm borrowing heavily from Telion and some other sources. Save reduced to 4+ and wearing carapace armor. No access to artificer armor or terminator armor. No access to jump pack. Add Move Through Cover, Scout, Stealth and Infiltrate to special rules Change the rule about SM Bike units to Scout Bike units meaning that if he is riding a bike then Scout Bike units can be taken as Troops. Add Rights of Battle to special rules. If Master of the Recruits is chosen, one Scout Squad may be upgraded to Scout Command with the following options: (I'd be open to suggestion on how to handle this.) Moving on to the Imperial Fists, a discussion of Apocalyptic datasheets, the Idea of a bunch of THSS termies marching across the battlefield. I want to cook up a datasheet that involves Lysander and 3+ 10 man squads of THSS termies but do not knwo what kind of fuity rules to give it. Reroll failed saves as long as all members are in base contact with the squad? Give a bonus cover save to friendly models behind them (like a 3+ cover save)? I'm at a loss but all taht yellow would be pretty. What do you think? Fri, Nov. 13th, 2009, 01:02 am
Do we have to open a ticket with support to add the DVD CE to his GvE account or will using the "Upgrade Account" and adding the serial code in his NC Master Account be enough? I have repeatedly stressed to him not to click "Add Game" because I'm fairly sure that would create a separate account for him. I want to know ahead of time though if we have to open a support ticket or not though, cuz I don't want to accidentally waste the code or something. Thanks in advance for advice! I'm really hoping to get this to him soon because the first time I went to buy him a DVD CE edition, the seller claimed it was guaranteed to work etc etc and we received the box with an already used code -_- So he couldn't use that at all and I've had to wait a few months checking ebay for a new one. The first battle was against GreyKnights and i was the attacker. My Obliterators definately won the day, killing a whole unit of Grey Knights and a whole unit of his GreyKnight Terminators with Plasma Cannons. It took 4 turns for one of my CSM units to sufficently damage a Land Raider that was sitting on the objective and it was my Lord and his unit of Terminators that had to finish it off with my Aspiring Champions Chainfist to claim victory. At the end of the bought he had just his Inquisitor w/ Retinue in a bunker, which was just moments from being assaulted. My Second Fight was against Black Templars... as the Defender... It was tough. The fact that I managed a tie was just out of shear bruteness from both sides. If it wasn't for the fact that his Chaplain and his largest unit came in a turn late then the rest of his army and teleported away from the whole fight it would have been a different story. He took one objective completely at the start of second turn but the fact that he had to constantly charge the nearest enemy unit after getting shot got his Commander into combat with my Lord and was carved in half by the daemon weapon. 4 wounds (after taking 1 previous by a powerfist in taking the objective) and i then fell back my whole army to make room for the Chaplain and his monster sized unit of 20+ (10 neophytes, 3 Servitors, and 10 Initates all built for cc). When he bunched up to take the first objective i laid into him with everything I had but it wasn't enough to coax him out of cover to hit him with my unit of Terminators so we settled at the end game for a tie (he had 1 objective i had 1). I must say, Daemon Weapons are very risky to deal with. But, I've had nothing but great luck with the Tzeentch Daemon Weapon. That weapon alone in the shooting phase has done some rediculous pain on foes, especially space marines (24" D6 Str4 Ap3 shots). Between that and the chainfist on the Aspiring Champion in the unit, as well as the 2 Reaper Autocannons, they are the workhorses to an otherwise pointy but highly effective unit. Most armies bend around the presence of 10 Nurgle Terminators, and by that standard alone tactically they are worth every point. Wed, Nov. 11th, 2009, 10:31 pm
